Does cannabis have medicinal value? That is a great question! It depends who you ask. Although there are hundreds of studies and thousands of case reports of patients who have benefited from cannabis therapy, the medical establishment says more research is needed to be sure. Medicinal Cannabis Resource Centre of Manitoba can assist people who want to explore this therapy through education and ongoing support. We can connect qualified individuals to Physicians knowledgeable and experienced in cannabis therapy as well as authorized, Licensed Producers with the right product for you as part of your broader treatment care plan.
“My Doctor signed a medical document, but after that I didn’t know what to do. All the licensed producers I talked to just confused me. The Cannabis Educators at MCRCM where able to refer me to a good Licensed Producer and helped to select the right product – with them I didn’t waste time and money ordering product that wouldn’t work for me. ”

“I use cannabis but live on a budget. I was surprised to learn that cannabis from a Licensed Producer actually costs less than I thought. The educators even found producers that offer compassion pricing. Although I had to go through an approval process, it was worth it. I actually saved money by getting a marijuana authorization.”

“I have cancer. I went through my first round of treatment, but I got too weak because I lost too much weight, and my appetite continues to be non-existent. The Doctor doesn’t want to start my next round until I get stronger. I have never used cannabis in my life, but decided that I had nothing to lose, so I contacted MCRCM with my Oncologist’s support. They found me a good licensed producer I have just started treatment. Last night was the first time in months that I ate because I wanted to rather than nibbling because I know I needed to eat. Thank you J.- I couldn’t have done it without your help!”

“Through MCRCM’s help I received an authorization for cannabis. The problem though was that I am also on a lot of other medications and I was worried that there might be a drug interaction. The Doctor was great, but I also wanted a pharmacist to review my file. They were able to send my drug profile, including my cannabis product and strength information to a pharmacist for review. It made me feel better knowing that I had health professionals reviewing my case.”

“I have been self medicating for years, but with all the scary things people are putting in marijuana bought “on the street” (fentanyl or that elephant tranquilizer), I decided the safest thing I could do is get a prescription for cannabis. I contacted MCRCM and now I am a legal cannabis carrier and I know the product I order is clean, safe and tested. The best part is, with the help of MCRCM I was able to find the type and strength of cannabis that I was used to.”
